South actress Sai Pallavi is in the news these days for her upcoming film Ramayan. Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. Now Sita of Ramayan recently shared many things related to her life in an interview. During this, she told why she is not seen wearing short dresses in films? The actress told that one of her videos went viral, after which Sai Pallavi did not wear short dresses in films.
When Sai Pallavi’s video went viral
In an exclusive interview with Galatta, Sai Pallavi revealed why she doesn’t wear short dresses in films. Recalling a horrific incident that happened to her, she said, “When I was studying in Georgia, I learned to tango. For a performance, I had to wear a slit dress, I had even taken permission from my parents. They were okay with it. Later, when my first film, Premam, released in theatres, I got a lot of praise for my performance, my tango dance video went viral. People were pausing my video and commenting on my slit dress.” Recalling this incident further, she said, “I felt I was being objectified. I was very uncomfortable.”
‘…which makes me feel uncomfortable’
She further said that after that incident I have become like this. I do not want to do anything that will make me feel uncomfortable later. She said that we cannot judge a person’s character on the basis of what he or she is wearing. If you ask my parents, they will say that sometimes I shout a lot, I lose my temper. She further said that what I wear does not necessarily reflect my personality.”
