Mumbai. Vijay Sethupathi is considered to be the most popular and talented actor of South. He gives his 100 percent in whatever role he plays. He made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Mumbaikar’. After this, he played the villain in Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ which earned more than Rs 760 crore and played the lead role with Katrina Kaif in ‘Merry Christmas’. Last month, his film ‘Maharaja’ was released at the box office. His acting in the film is being praised a lot. But do you know, he was an accountant before becoming an actor, but wanted to become an actor.
According to a report in Variety, Vijay Sethupathi started working as an accountant. He wanted to become an actor, so he worked as an accountant in a theatre company. He said, “I thought if I work as an accountant, I can see the actors every day. I can be with them. I can talk to them. I can understand what acting is.”
Vijay Sethupathi further said, “All this was my learning. Even being with them at lunch was a class for me. Being with actors always taught me something.” Vijay also talked about his bonding with his children. He said, “I am the father of a son and a daughter. I love my daughter very much. If she dominates me, I always feel good. I call her ‘Amma’ (mother) and my son ‘Appa’ (father).”
Vijay Sethupathi stressed on talking openly with his children. The actor said that he has always talked to his children about his work. He said, “Whenever I go for shooting a film, and there is an interesting scene, I always share it with my children.”
Vijay Sethupathi says that he feels a sense of responsibility for the selection of scripts and he takes his children’s suggestions seriously. He further said, “I never present myself as a father, rather I sometimes become a child myself.”
