Isha Koppikar On Working With Over Age Actor: Actress Isha Koppikar, who has worked in Bollywood films, has recently told in an interview that she used to feel uncomfortable working with big actors. The actress also mentioned the casting couch incident. She recently gave an interview to Siddharth Kannan.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actress was asked about her experience of romancing with big actors like Sunil Shetty and Govinda. The actress gave a surprising answer to this. She said that she was not comfortable while working or romancing with big actors.
It felt like I was hugging my father
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actress told that when she worked with older actors, she felt as if she was hugging her father. She said, “When you work with someone 30 or 20 years older than you, you feel uncomfortable. When I was working with older actors, I felt uncomfortable. You don’t feel like you are hugging your co-actor or lover, you feel like you are hugging your father. I used to feel like that. But it’s okay that I was new, I thought it was normal.”
People say- ‘He looks so old, sit at home’
Esha advised older actors to do roles according to their age. She further said, “I have seen them (audience) in theatres saying, ‘Yeh kitna budha lag raha hai, ghar par baith’, apni beti ki age ki ladki ko sath romancing kar raha hai (How old does he look, sit at home, you are romancing your daughter’s daughter).”
After the age of 35, actresses start playing the role of mothers
Isha also told Siddharth Kannan that heroines start playing the role of a mother after the age of 35. At the age of 35, actresses start playing the role of a 50-year-old. On the other hand, older actors keep romancing 25-year-old actresses.
Acting debut was done with a Telugu film
Isha started her film career in the year 1997 with the Telugu film ‘W/O V. Vara Prasad’. In Bollywood, she worked with actors like Sunil Shetty, Govinda and Shahrukh Khan. She appeared opposite Sunil Shetty in the 2004 film ‘Rudraksh’. She also worked with Govinda in ‘Aamdani Athanni Kharcha Rupaiya’. While she was seen with Shahrukh in the film ‘Don’. She was last seen in the 2022 film ‘Love You Loktantra’.
