Karan has written in his note, “I can’t believe it’s been 20 years… My biggest fear was losing my parents… On August 2, 2003, my father told me that he had a malignant tumor… My worst nightmare was to have a dead body staring at me and yet as his child it was my duty to stay positive and keep the faith…

Yash Johar’s last seen movie was Lakshya
On June 18, Farhan Akhtar’s film Lakshya completed 20 years. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director Karan had revealed on the occasion that the Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer was the last film his father saw at its premiere. On his Instagram Stories, Karan wrote that Lakshya was the last film his father saw before he left him. “He came back from the premiere and was very proud of Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan and told me that he had seen him grow up and blessed him. Lakshya will remain special for me in many ways…he also met the entire industry at the premiere,” the filmmaker said, adding that he was grateful that his father could say a final goodbye to his film family at the screening.
