People still like to listen to the song ‘Jiya Ho Bihar Ke Lala’ which came in the year 2012. Recently Manoj Tiwari told that he did not take any fee for this song. But still he earned crores. During an interview with Sushant Sinha, he revealed that, ‘Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap like me, then one of my songs became a hit. So these people also became fans of my songs, after this when their film ‘Shool’ came, they used my songs in many places.
The Bhojpuri star further said, ‘After this, Anurag Kashyap gave me a chance to sing in his film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. I was very busy then because I was a superstar. My film became a hit in 2004 and ran for 100 days. There was a lot of noise in the whole country because no film used to run for 100 days and then there was a line of producers waiting for me.’
Anurag Kashyap offered 5 lakh rupees for the song
Manoj revealed in the interview that Anurag Kashyap had offered him 5 lakh rupees for the song ‘Jiya Ho Bihar Ke Lala’. But he refused this offer, after which he did not take any fee for this song and sang the song for free. Because of this song I signed 10 films in 5-6 days, the person who used to do a film for 2.25 lakhs, I did one film for 30 lakhs. That is, 3 crore rupees…
He also told that, ‘When Anurag gave me the offer, I was very busy and I had a lot of respect for him in my heart. Then I said that we are a little busy, so he said that he will stop me until I sing. The film was shot, then the song was recorded. After this Anurag Kashyap was in the studio and I sang the song ‘Jiya Ho Bihar Ke Lala’ in front of him.’
