New Delhi: The celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding has begun. The couple attended the Mameru ceremony with the family on Wednesday, July 3 and started the wedding ceremony with a bang. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s family and close friends attended the ceremony. Some videos and pictures of the pre-wedding ceremony have already given a glimpse of it. In a new video, Radhika Merchant was seen in a special style. She looked very happy. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani also looked happy.
In the inside video of the pre-wedding ceremony, Radhika and Anant are seen entering from a high platform. The guests welcomed the couple with enthusiasm. Radhika Merchant could not hide her happiness. She was seen dancing on the stage, while Anant Ambani was carrying sister Isha Ambani’s daughter Adiya in his lap. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani welcomed Radhika and Anant with a big smile on their faces. Anant’s elder brother Akash Ambani and sister Isha Ambani are also seen in the video.
What is Mameru ceremony?
Mameru is a beautiful Gujarati wedding tradition in which the bride’s maternal uncle gives sweets and gifts to his niece. The bride’s maternal uncle usually gifts her a Paanetar saree, jewellery or white bangles. Also, sweets and dry fruits are also given as gifts in a beautifully packaged form.
When is Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding?
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities will begin on July 12. The first ceremony is ‘Shubh Vivaah’, for which the dress code is Indian traditional. July 13 is scheduled for ‘Shubh Aashirwad’. The dress code for that day is Indian formal. On July 14, there will be ‘Mangal Utsav’ or wedding reception, for which the dress code is Indian chic. All these ceremonies will be held at Jio World Center in BKC.
