The story of Shahrukh Khan’s film Fan is such that Gaurav (Shahrukh Khan) has a son who is a big fan of Aryan Khanna (Shahrukh Khan) since childhood. He feels that he is Aryan’s fan, so whenever he goes to meet Aryan, Aryan will call him home and welcome him. But Gaurav is unaware of the fact that Aryan has crores of fans like him.
When Gaurav goes to Mumbai, he finds himself in the crowd, after this he tries many times to meet Aryan and also does some wrong things in it. The story of the film was fine but it was very slow and there was neither romance, nor action nor song in it, so the film bored people. The film did earn worldwide but this earning was more from OTT rights because the film’s earnings in theaters reached close to the budget.

Shahrukh Khan promoted the movie Fan which was released on 15th April 2016. There was only one song named ‘Main Tera Fan Ho Gaya’ on which Shahrukh was seen dancing everywhere. Despite the strong promotion, Shahrukh’s movie did not benefit much. According to Sacnilk, the budget of the movie Fan was Rs. 85 crores whereas the movie collected Rs. 182.30 crores worldwide at the box office.

The film Fan, made under the banner of Aditya Chopra’s company Yash Raj Films, was directed by Manish Sharma. Shahrukh Khan had a double role in this film in which one is a superstar and the other is his fan. Apart from Shahrukh, actors like Waluscha D’Souza, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Deepika Amin, Sayani Gupta, Yogendra Tikku, Manoj Anand were seen in the film.
