For the past several days, there have been reports that Bollywood veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha is admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. There were reports that he got injured after falling from the sofa at home, due to which he underwent minor surgery. Now, after being discharged from the hospital, Shatrughan Sinha himself has called the news of surgery a rumour. He has said that his health had not deteriorated, he had just gone to the hospital for a routine checkup.
In a recent conversation with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha said, ‘It was just a full body routine checkup. I would recommend this to everyone above 60 years of age. I was travelling non-stop for 3 months for the election campaign. Right after that, my daughter got married. Now I am not that hot-blooded young man who can do 3 shifts a day and still have the energy to party. I need to slow down.’
On the news of surgery, Shatrughan Sinha has said, ‘Even I have read somewhere that I have undergone a minor surgery in the hospital. Keep quiet about the surgery. Hey brother, I had a surgery and I myself don’t know’.
During the conversation, Shatrughan Sinha also said that some people in Mumbai are so hungry for entertainment news that people will write anything for them.
People expressed their gratitude on social media
After being discharged from the hospital, Shatrughan Sinha has expressed his gratitude to everyone on the X platform (formerly Twitter). He has written, ‘Thank you to all those who prayed for me, gave me love and sent congratulatory messages.’
There were reports of injuries to the ribs
A recent Times Now report claimed that Shatrughan Sinha was injured after falling in the living room of the house two days after Sonakshi’s wedding. He was getting up from the sofa when his foot hit the carpet corner and he fell. Sonakshi was also present with him at this time. There were also reports that he was injured on June 25, but on June 26, when the pain increased, he was admitted to the hospital.
Amidst the news of surgery, Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha had clarified on social media that his father had not undergone surgery, he was suffering from viral fever and weakness, due to which he was taken to the hospital.
Shatrughan Sinha was last spotted at Sonakshi-Zaheer’s wedding. Sonakshi Sinha married Zaheer Iqbal in Mumbai on June 23. Amidst reports of resentment, Shatrughan Sinha first reached Sonakshi’s house in Bandra for the civil marriage and then Bastion Restaurant for the reception.
