Nirmal Soni Rejected Yash Raj Films: Actor Nirmal Soni, best known for playing the role of Dr Hansraj Hathi in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’, recently revealed that he had rejected a film which was offered to him by Aditya Chopra’s production company Yash Raj Films.
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Nirmal revealed why he was not excited to sign the offer.
Why did ‘Mr. Hathi’ reject Yash Raj Films’ offer?
When asked when he will be seen on the big screen or in a web series, the actor said, ‘I am getting a lot of offers. Recently I got an offer from Yash Raj Films. But these days films are shot in one go. For the Yash Raj film, they asked me to stay free for 45 days continuously, I cannot stay away from TV shows for so many days.’
Let us tell you that actor Kavi Kumar Azad, who played the role of ‘Doctor Hathi’ in ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, died of a heart attack on July 9. A few days after the death of Kavi Kumar Azad, the makers of the show finalized Nirmal Soni as a replacement. Fans have liked the character of Doctor Hathi in this show a lot.
Apart from ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’, Nirmal Soni has appeared in many films and TV shows including ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, ‘Action Jackson’, ‘Hostel’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, ‘Chandrakanta’, ‘Viskanya’, ‘Qubool Hai’.
How much does ‘Mr. Hathi’ charge for one episode?
Nirmal Soni, who plays the character of Dr. Hathi, is married in the show and is also Goli’s father, but in real life he is not married yet. According to reports, Nirmal charges 40 to 45 thousand rupees per episode to play ‘Mr. Hathi’ in this show. The actor also stays connected with fans on social media.
